Print Info
All the Rubberfish archival ink-jet prints are printed using UltraChrome Epson Inks on Hahnemuhle Mould Made Paper.
Ultrchrome Pigment inks are used by commercial artists and photographers because they offer outstanding durability, so prints are more likely to look good for longer on a wide range of paper types.
The ink is highly light, gas and water resistant, resulting, according to Epson, in a lifespan of up to 75 years in colour and over 100 years in black & white.

Hahnemuhle Mould-made Albrecht Dürer
210 gsm · 50% Cotton · 50% alpha-Cellulose white · mould-made
This traditional mould-made watercolour paper is gently textured and has a warm white tone. The printed side of this paper has been specially coated for excellent image sharpness and optimum colour graduation. The coating also offers a very high level of water resistance.
When I was young my mother gave me a book she'd had which was a picture book version of the Three Orphan Kittens by Walt Disney. This book had lovely paper and the colour stills stood out brilliantly against this warm, textured background.
I wanted to recreate this experience, and this led me to choose Albrecht Durer which I think enhances that other worldly quality inherent in my pictures.
The prints are mounted on Fine Art Board, backed with board and wrapped in Acid free Acetate before packaging. Most of our paper prints are on A3, although the size of printed area will vary from picture to picture, please see details of print dimensions on each print detail.
Please note also that the actual print stability will vary according to display conditions, light intensity and atmospheric conditions.
